Sep 10 2008, 3:23 PM Francis: Cool, and as you may already know, I'm on here almost all the time. So just pop in this forum anytime.
Sep 10 2008, 6:01 PM Anonymous (guest): Hi there, looking for a member named khyan
Sep 10 2008, 6:02 PM Anonymous (guest): just want to leave him a msg
Sep 10 2008, 6:02 PM Anonymous (guest): please leave me info to get in touch with you khyan
Sep 10 2008, 6:04 PM Anonymous (guest): Francis I have concerns about a member who is abusing this site and others
Sep 10 2008, 6:04 PM Anonymous (guest): How do I contact you privately?
Sep 10 2008, 6:07 PM Francis: Hi, we do not have support for private messaging yet..
Sep 16 2008, 4:29 PM SAR2009: Two suggestions for consideration:
Sep 16 2008, 4:30 PM Matrix: hi SAR, thanks... what do you have in mind?
Sep 16 2008, 4:32 PM SAR2009: (1) set up archives so they can be accessed starting with the most recent comments; (2) Add some sort capability to the forum listings. E.g., when one goes to "top" the list includes several small forums. Top = "what" ? It would be more user friendly if that were in the eye of the inquirer.
Sep 16 2008, 4:33 PM SAR2009: I'm well aware coding takes lots of resources - just some thoughts for y'all as this grows.
Sep 16 2008, 4:34 PM Matrix: well, you're right on all accounts. Coding does take a long time but we're dedicated to keeping our users very satisfied.
Sep 16 2008, 4:35 PM Matrix: those are excellent ideas...
Sep 16 2008, 4:35 PM SAR2009: You richly deserve kudos for what you have already done. I look forward to being here for a long time to come.
Sep 16 2008, 4:36 PM Matrix: well, so you know, we are a small, tight team, but we get things done quickly. right now we are very focused on moderation features.
Sep 16 2008, 4:36 PM Matrix: so you can control who comes into your forum, control the forum content, etc.
Sep 16 2008, 4:37 PM Matrix: I hope those will be useful to you as well
Sep 16 2008, 4:37 PM SAR2009: Small <> "bad" . . . in fact, often = "good"!!
Sep 16 2008, 4:38 PM SAR2009: Moderator tools will be quite welcome as the site grows and trolls breed.
Sep 16 2008, 4:38 PM SAR2009: Thanks for the replies, Jon. Take care.
Sep 16 2008, 4:38 PM Matrix: you too, thanks for the feedback!
Sep 19 2008, 10:49 PM knucklebusted: Is there a way to ban a spammer?
Sep 19 2008, 10:50 PM knucklebusted: Or least allow a user to ban contact from another user?
Sep 19 2008, 10:50 PM Francis: Hi knucklebusted. Who is spamming / where?
Sep 19 2008, 10:51 PM knucklebusted: Conservative Lounge just had a guy come in "Rich" to try and hawk "Free HBO without a bill"
Sep 19 2008, 10:51 PM Francis: Ok, i see that now.
Sep 19 2008, 10:52 PM knucklebusted: Yeah, it was bound to happen sooner or later.
Sep 19 2008, 10:52 PM Francis: Yup.. and we're working on moderation features as we speak. Unfortunately, this will be a manual task for me at the moment, but I shall remove that item from your forum.
Sep 19 2008, 10:53 PM knucklebusted: Thanks, keep up the great work!
Sep 19 2008, 10:54 PM Francis: I feel your frustration, but please hang tight.. As I was telling Covertress, we're working on it and forum admins will soon have the power to better control the posted content.
Sep 25 2008, 2:31 AM PbLive: Hey there, Are there any mods around? I've got somebody in my chat at Pblive who's being disrespectful and would like to have them banned. user name: djanon_is_m3n

Sep 25 2008, 3:02 AM PbLive: Well... what COULD have been a good show was absolutely ruined because of your lack of moderation.
Sep 25 2008, 3:03 AM PbLive: Come on guys... I was told that there'd be someone here to help since I can't moderate it myself.
Sep 25 2008, 3:03 AM PbLive: Sorry to say but the chatroll code's coming off my site tonight.

Sep 25 2008, 4:29 AM Matrix: so you mean people will need to open 2 windows, one for the live stream and one for chat?
Sep 25 2008, 4:29 AM PbLive: yeah... I wasn't too cool with that
Sep 25 2008, 4:29 AM PbLive: The less clicks, the better.
Sep 25 2008, 4:30 AM Matrix: well what we want to do is make it so that when you hover over a person's username, a popup appears...
Sep 25 2008, 4:30 AM Matrix: then you can ban them, kick them, send them a private message, etc.
Sep 25 2008, 4:30 AM Matrix: we're working on it full steam
Sep 25 2008, 4:30 AM Matrix: I'd love to have your feedback on it when we launch the features
Sep 25 2008, 4:31 AM Matrix: I think what you're doing with the side-by-side stream/chat is really cool.
Sep 25 2008, 4:31 AM PbLive: I told Francis, I was a producer for the internet startup, NowLive.com They have no idea about content or business but they have a great tech staff.
Sep 25 2008, 4:31 AM PbLive: They're flash-based too and have all sorts of moderation features
Sep 25 2008, 4:32 AM PbLive: Why wasn't there anyone available tonight?
Sep 25 2008, 4:38 AM PbLive: We had a bad time with Stickam because we pulled close to 1000 users in a show for a live event and they went ban-happy and kicked people who were just talking good-natured trash.
Sep 25 2008, 4:38 AM Matrix: yeah we'd never moderate your chat... it'd be all you (and whatever other moderators you choose)
Sep 25 2008, 4:39 AM PbLive: There's a difference... small but it's important to not kick the regular users. Unfortunately, we're the ones who know who those people are.
Sep 25 2008, 4:40 AM Matrix: when's your next show?
Sep 25 2008, 4:40 AM PbLive: Like I said earlier, the less clicks, the better. I like the sleek look of chatroll and it works great for the page, but if an ugly IRC will keep the chat safem then that's what it has to be.
Sep 25 2008, 4:40 AM PbLive: Every Wednesday, 7pm PT / 10pm ET
Sep 25 2008, 4:41 AM PbLive: I'll have a person logged into this account to let you know if we have any problems.
Sep 25 2008, 4:41 AM PbLive: I'll be on the air myself.
Sep 25 2008, 4:41 AM Matrix: ok. keep chatroll in for your next show. we'll make sure the moderation stuff is ready to go.
Sep 25 2008, 4:43 AM PbLive: Great. Thanks. Although it's not up to me, it's up to my audience. The show has a "question of the week". This week's question is, "should we change the chat." Feel free to call and log your opinion: (626)593-5472
Sep 25 2008, 4:51 AM PbLive: Yeah. I'm waiting to log into our facebook page and see how many "epic phail" posts I get... lol
Sep 25 2008, 4:52 AM Francis: Is your FB page a public group?
Sep 25 2008, 4:52 AM PbLive: Whatever. No such thing as bad publicity, right? It'll keep people talking about the show and make them want to come back next week.
